Grounds Maintenance, Parks and Green Open Space Manager

Salary: £45,207

  • An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Grounds Maintenance, Parks and Green Open Space Manager to provide effective leadership across Enveco’s Grounds Maintenance, Parks and Green Open Space services. This is a key operational management role responsible for planning, delivering, and continuously improving high-profile environmental services across Blackpool. The successful candidate will lead operational teams, manage service performance, oversee budgets, support business growth and ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. The role also includes responsibility for related operational areas, including Emergency Maintenance Operations.
  • We are looking for a confident and experienced operational manager with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities and a clear commitment to delivering high-quality public services. You should have: A professional horticultural qualification to HND or a willingness to work towards Industry-based membership, such as IOG, BIGGA, RHS or the Arboricultural Association IOSH Certificate in Health & Safety PA1 and PA6 pesticide application certification A full UK driving licence Considerable experience in staff supervision and management Experience working in a multi-functional operational environment Strong knowledge of environmental services. Head Gardener Job Vacancy

Salary: £35,231

  • Are you an experienced horticultural professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for maintaining high-quality parks and green spaces? We are looking for a Head Gardener to lead horticultural management and day-to-day grounds maintenance at Stanley Park, Blackpool’s Grade II-listed park. This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for one of the town’s most valued public spaces, ensuring it remains attractive, safe, well-maintained, and welcoming to residents, visitors, and community groups.
  • A formal horticultural qualification to HND, ND or RHS Level 3 standard A full UK driving licence Extensive knowledge of horticultural best practice Strong knowledge of plants, shrubs, grass, trees and common plant diseases Good understanding of health and safety requirements and their practical application Experience supervising or managing within a horticultural, parks, estates or grounds maintenance environment Practical experience using vehicles, plant, machinery and grounds maintenance tools Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills The ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and respond to changing seasonal demands. Facilities & Project Assistant

Salary: £13.49 per hour

  • We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities & Project Assistant to join our team and support the general upkeep, tidying, and maintenance of Layton Depot, ensuring the site remains safe, clean, and operational. This role will work under the direct instruction of the Facilities & Project Manager to carry out a variety of practical and maintenance-based tasks as required.
  • Skills • Full UK Driving License • Ability to carry out manual handling tasks • Good awareness of health & safety in a working yard/depot environment • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team • Experience operating plant machinery (e.g., forklifts, telehandlers, small plant) • Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, construction, or yard work • Basic DIY/maintenance skills

HGV driver/loader (Domestic)

Salary: £29,982 per annum

  • Enveco is looking for a suitable and reliable person to join our team as a HGV Driver.
  • Essential skills: • Full UK Heavy Goods Vehicle License • Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) within 6 months • Considerable knowledge of road use regulations for driving activities • Considerable experience of driving vehicles over 3.5 tonne • Experience of HGV driving over 7.5 tonne • Ability to deal with customers in a polite and friendly manner • Ability to lift and carry on a frequent and repetitive basis and walk considerable distances • Good communication skills • Basic literacy and numeracy skills • Ability to undertake duties in a physical role • Experience in multi drop collections and deliveries • Experience in being able to carry out physical tasks related e.g. Emptying litter bins, removal of accumulated refuse and litter, removal of bulky waste, and clearance of storm debris
