Our Central Vehicle Maintenance Unit provides a wide range of services on behalf of Blackpool Council – maintaining over 400 vehicles, plant and compulsory Taxi safety inspections.
The service also offers residents M.O.T’s at a competitive rate.
M.O.T Inspections
This professional and reliable service is for Class IV, V, and VII vehicles, cars, minibusses, and light commercial vehicles.
The cost of M.O.T is just £50 per vehicle (free re-test within 10 working days if needed).

Taxi Inspections
To book your taxi inspection contact Blackpool Council’s Licensing team on 01253 478343.
If the vehicle passes inspection, you will be issued a certificate of compliance. Otherwise, the relevant work must be carried out and the vehicle brought back for a re-test before the certificate can be issued.
