The Rover collection service is now by appointment only!
If you have any unwanted items at home, whether they are in working order or not, you can arrange for Rover to come and collect them.
All items will be either recycled or reused.
We will fix any items that we can. After repair, we will give them to local charities for use by residents in need of support.
If we can’t repair items, then we will take them to the Household Waste Recycling Centre for recycling.

Items that Rover can accept include:
- Small electrical items (TVs, toasters, hair dryers, kettles etc)
- Cans, glass bottles, small hard plastics. Minimum of 1 bin liner – per collection
- Paper, cardboard Minimum of 1 bin liner – per collection
- Mobile phones
- Small pieces of wood
- Small items of scrap metal
- Batteries large and domestic
- Clothes and textiles
- Mobility aids
- Waste fats, oils and greases
- Paint
- Spectacles- these will be donated to Vision Aid Overseas
Items that Rover can’t accept include:
- No household ‘grey bin’ waste
- UPVC items
- Bricks
- Rubble
- Gas bottles
- Fence panels
- Chemicals
- Food waste
- Bed bases
- Fridges
- Garden cuttings
- Asbestos
- Carpets
- Sofas
- Mattresses
- Chest of drawers
- Cookers
- Tyres
- Washing Machines
