Bin Hubs

Residential Bin Hubs Recycle More, Right on Your Doorstep

Since September 2025, our residential bin hubs have been helping residents recycle more and manage their household waste more easily.

The hubs were introduced as part of the Government’s Simpler Recycling changes and provide residents living nearby with a simple and convenient way to separate their waste.

We’re pleased to see positive participation from residents already using the hubs and helping to recycle more.

Each hub has four bins:

  • General Waste
  • Paper and Card
  • Mixed Recycling
  • Food Waste

The hubs can be used at any time, so there are no collection days to remember.

Please remember the bin hubs are:

  • For local residents to use for household waste.
  • Clearly labelled to show what goes where.
  • Helping residents recycle more.
  • Street litter bins.

The bin hubs are not:

  • For people bringing waste from other areas.
  • For business waste.

Please only use the bin hub closest to your home. The hubs are designed for residents living nearby and are not intended for people travelling to the area to dispose of waste.

If you have larger items, extra waste or items that cannot be recycled at the hubs, please use the Household Waste Recycling Centre on Bristol Avenue.
