HGV Driver/Loader Operative (Commercial)
Salary: £29,982
- An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to be a full-time permanent HGV Driver/Loader Operative (Commercial). The successful applicant will be required to undertake general HGV driving duties concerned with waste collection, street cleansing, grounds maintenance services, beach cleaning and safety, and winter maintenance. Training where required will be given prior to any duty instructions.

Green Assistant Job Vacancy
Salary: £17,485
- We have an exciting new opportunity for two Green Assistants to join our team. This is a job-share role, with each position working 12.5 hours per week. Please note that the salary listed above is based on a full 25-hour-per-week role and will be pro rata for each position. The post holders will be responsible for undertaking general garden tidying and light maintenance within private garden areas across the Claremont Ward. This support is offered to residents who have become overwhelmed with their garden spaces or who are unable to maintain them independently. Key duties will include identifying gardens and outdoor areas in need of attention, engaging with residents to understand their needs, and agreeing on the required work in consultation with the Community Centre Coordinator. Once work is completed, the post holder will discuss ongoing support options with the resident to help them maintain their outdoor space in the future. Additional responsibilities can include carrying out basic gardening tasks such as weeding, pruning, grass cutting, litter removal, and clearing overgrown spaces, reporting any safeguarding concerns, property issues, or environmental hazards encountered during visits, maintaining tools, equipment, and materials in a clean and safe condition, keeping simple records of completed work, resident interactions, and follow-up actions. Along with working collaboratively with community partners, volunteers, and local initiatives to contribute to wider neighbourhood improvement projects.
- • Act as an ambassador for the Claremont Ward and Enveco service. • Engage confidently with residents across the Claremont Ward, building positive relationships and encouraging participation in garden support initiatives. • Proactively identify gardens and outdoor areas requiring attention, assessing the level of support needed and feeding this back to the Community Centre Co‑ordinator. • Carry out general garden maintenance tasks — including weeding, pruning, grass cutting, litter removal, and clearing overgrown areas — using hand tools only. • Maintain daily communication with the Claremont Community Centre Co‑ordinator, providing updates on progress, challenges, and any follow‑up actions required. • Work in accordance with established safe working practices, following all risk assessment guidance and reporting any safety concerns immediately. • Support the service’s ‘Eyes and Ears’ approach by observing and reporting environmental issues within the Claremont Ward, such as litter, dog fouling, fly posting, fly tipping, damaged property, or other concerns, ensuring these are passed to the appropriate maintenance or enforcement channels. • Basic literacy and numeracy to understand work instructions, safety detail, and quantity specification. • Ability to undertake general garden tidying and maintenance • Ability to walk around the Claremont Ward with equipment and tools • Ability to work in all weathers • Knowledge of garden maintenance • Knowledge of community engagement • Ability to communicate with residents in a polite and friendly manner • Ability to lift and carry on a frequent and repetitive basis and walk considerable distances. • Excellent communication skills • Basic literacy and numeracy skills • Ability to work unsupervised

- We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities & Project Assistant to join our team and support the general upkeep, tidying, and maintenance of Layton Depot, ensuring the site remains safe, clean, and operational. This role will work under the direct instruction of the Facilities & Project Manager to carry out a variety of practical and maintenance-based tasks as required.
- Skills • Full UK Driving License • Ability to carry out manual handling tasks • Good awareness of health & safety in a working yard/depot environment • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team • Experience operating plant machinery (e.g., forklifts, telehandlers, small plant) • Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, construction, or yard work • Basic DIY/maintenance skills

- Enveco is looking for a suitable and reliable person to join our team as a HGV Driver.
- Essential skills: • Full UK Heavy Goods Vehicle License • Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) within 6 months • Considerable knowledge of road use regulations for driving activities • Considerable experience of driving vehicles over 3.5 tonne • Experience of HGV driving over 7.5 tonne • Ability to deal with customers in a polite and friendly manner • Ability to lift and carry on a frequent and repetitive basis and walk considerable distances • Good communication skills • Basic literacy and numeracy skills • Ability to undertake duties in a physical role • Experience in multi drop collections and deliveries • Experience in being able to carry out physical tasks related e.g. Emptying litter bins, removal of accumulated refuse and litter, removal of bulky waste, and clearance of storm debris
