Accessible Waste & Recycling

Making Waste & Recycling Easier for Everyone

At Enveco, we’re committed to making waste and recycling infomation clear and accessible for all Blackpool residents.

We’ve listened to feedback from our community and recognised the need for simpler waste disposal information—especially for people with learning difficulties, dementia, or those who speak English as a second language.

That’s why we’ve launched a new initiative to improve waste education and engagement across Blackpool.

We’ve collaborated with a Makaton Sign Language specialist to create an easy-to-understand guide that uses Makaton symbols to help residents know what goes in each bin.

📌 What’s Available?
✅ A Makaton-approved waste guide with symbols and minimal text
✅ A printable icon-only guide for easy reference
✅ A magnetic, interactive sorting game for schools

New Waste Guide

Take a look at what goes in each bin with our BRAND NEW waste guide!

Engaging with Schools & Communities

Our initiative goes beyond leaflets! We’ve introduced a magnetic, interactive game for schools, where students physically sort recyclable and non-recyclable waste.

Some teachers and social workers are now receiving Makaton training to help spread awareness!

If you work with schools or community groups and want to get involved, get in touch!
