Blackpool's Beach Litter Picking Marathon 2026
Over 200 Residents, Schools and Businesses Support Enveco NW’s Second Blackpool Beach Litter Picking Marathon
Enveco NW proudly hosted the second annual Blackpool Beach Litter Picking Marathon on 6th May 2026, bringing together more than 200 residents, schools, community groups, and businesses to help keep Blackpool tidy.
With four litter pick locations across the promenade, volunteers came together for an hour of community action, collecting litter and helping to protect Blackpool’s coastline and environment. The sunny weather, positive atmosphere, and fantastic turnout made this year’s event even bigger and better than expected.
Starting points included Queens Promenade, Gynn Square, Central Promenade, and South Promenade, with volunteers of all ages taking part.

The event forms part of Enveco NW’s ongoing Keep Blackpool Tidy campaign, encouraging positive environmental behaviours and community pride across the town.
Enveco’s Chair of the board, Cllr Adrian Hoyle, Armed Forces Champion for Blackpool Council, said:
“We are incredibly proud of the support shown by the community this year. Seeing over 200 people come together to make a difference in Blackpool was fantastic. Events like this show what can be achieved when residents, schools, businesses and organisations work together.”
