Who is responsible for your data?
Blackpool Waste Services trading as Enveco NW is a wholly owned company of Blackpool Council. We have a data sharing agreement between the client and contractor.
Why do we collect your information?
Information is collected for the purpose of the service and maintenance of the Central Vehicle Maintenance Unit (CVMU) e.g. MOT, vehicle inspections.
The information is processed for the following reasons:
- To contact you in relation to the progress of your vehicle
- To process insurance claims
- To contact you regarding the progress of your claim
We will keep your details for the period we provide the service on your behalf and delete the data within 6 years.
What is our lawful basis?
The UK GDPR Article 6 lawful basis for Enveco to collect and use your personal information is because:
- Article 6(e) – Public Task – It is necessary to perform a task in the public interest or whilst conducting its official functions, and the task or function has a clear basis in law.
- Article 6(b) – Contract – It is necessary for a contract you have, or because you have asked us to take specific steps before entering into a contract.
What types of information do we collect?
Your contact details (such as name, address, telephone number, email address) and your vehicle details including registration number.
Who do we share your information with?
Enveco NW may share information with Blackpool Council in accordance with the data-sharing agreement if deemed necessary—also, insurance companies, brokers and their agents, Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.
We will also share your information with others if we are required to do so by law or ordered to do so by a court.
We do not transfer your information to a third country (that is a country outside of the EEA).
