Who is responsible for your data?

Blackpool Waste Services trading as Enveco NW is a wholly owned company of Blackpool Council. We have a data sharing agreement between the client and contractor.

Why do we collect your information?

Enveco NW does not need and does not use information about you for street cleansing. Information about you will only be used if the following requests for service are made:

  • Street to be cleaned
  • Remove chemical spillage
  • Remove syringe(s)
  • Weeds to be cleared
  • Overflowing litter bin
  • Graffiti removal
  • Remove a dead animal
  • Dog fouling to be cleaned

We will keep your details for the period we provide the service of street cleansing on your behalf and delete the data within 6 years.

What is our lawful basis?

The UK GDPR Article 6 lawful basis for Enveco to collect and use your personal information is because:

  • Article 6(e) – Public Task – It is necessary to perform a task in the public interest or whilst conducting its official functions, and the task or function has a clear basis in law.
  • Article 6(c) – Legal Obligation – Compliance with a legal obligation.

The duty has a clear basis in law, as set out in The Environmental Protection Act 1990 and its associated regulations, which place a legal obligation to provide street cleansing.

  • Service request type/information

Who do we share your information with?

Enveco NW may share information with Blackpool Council in accordance with the data sharing agreement if deemed necessary. We will also share your information with others if we are required to do so by law or ordered to do so by a court.

We do not transfer your information to a third country (that is a country outside of the EEA).
