Household waste changes

Big changes to Blackpool’s waste collection services have been agreed by Blackpool Council’s Executive. This complies with the new government legislation known as Simpler Recycling.

Simpler Recycling will enable consistent, more streamlined collections from all households, businesses and relevant non-domestic premises (such as schools and hospitals) across the country and comes into force in April 2026.
